Does someone want to be a love and buy this house for me?
Pretty, pretty please???
“Shelley Lodge, in West Street, Marlow, is now just one part of an older property called Albion House where the gothic author briefly lived with her lover, the Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley.
The Grade-II listed, four-bedroom home was put on the market in March with an asking price of £1.1 million, which has recently been lowered to £995,000.
The couple’s move to Marlow came shortly after their now infamous stay with Lord Byron at Lake Geneva, during which the host challenged his guests to write a short ghost story.
After some convincing, Mary Shelley was persuaded to expand her tale and, shortly after moving to Marlow in 1817, had put the finishing touches to the book, originally titled Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus.
