Interesting. Although, if the public reactions really aren’t staged, I’m surprised that many people spoke up on behalf of the woman. In my experience, no one ever said anything when my ex went off on me like that even in public. Then again, I find people in London are generally less apathetic and much more kind towards strangers than people generally are in the southwest United States where I lived at the time.
This raises an important issue, though: while we, as a society, are finally beginning to talk about domestic violence where men abuse women, we still rarely talk about women abusing men.
