  1. I definitely agree! You have to cut filmmakers some slack when it comes to adapting an entire screenplay from a novel. You’re not going to fit everything into two hours, nor will it replicate all that you read.

      Definitely, it’s difficult to adapt a book for the screen. It’s really an entirely different format and medium. I think the Harry Potter series is a really great example of that. The movies are really fantastic (perfect casting, great effects, nice writing), overall, and really the only thing that makes the books superior are the subplots and details that didn’t make it into the films due to time/money/effects constraints. 🙂
