I love this song. It’s catchy and empowering. Yes, you can certainly argue that the skimpy costumes are objectifying women. However, you can also turn that argument on its head and argue that the women are taking control of that objectification by juxtaposing the dichotomy of sexual enslavement versus empowerment, thereby reassigning the power to themselves.
Or, of course, you can always just snap your fingers and enjoy the somewhat kitschy tune.
